Our son, Vytautas Viljamas Kovalick, arrived today at 06:38 CET. Vaida was a true champion, delivering our 54 cm (21.25 in), 3.78 kg (8.3 lbs) to the world.

We are thankful that Vaida and Vytautas are healthy.

I was honored to cut the cord and get my hands wet with his first bath in the delivery room.

So far, he seems to have figured out a bit of crying and nursing hopefully more sleeping so we can rest (briefly) as well…

PS… a link to explain the origin of his Lithuanian name, Vytautas. Viljamas is the Lithuanian spelling of William a Kovalick family name.
